HTC Diamond

Despite the forthcoming launch of the new 3G iphone, July 11th, last week I made a decision to make the leap and obtained myself a HTC Diamond cellphone as a substitute. Even though the thought of the iphone, combining a 3G cellphone, storage and an ipod all in one particular, sounds really appealing, in the end I determined that the iphone (even the second 3G generation) was as well common and also bulky. The design and style is just not just the smooth and neat or girly and cute type that I like. I deemed waiting for the Subsequent generation of iphone, which is reputedly scaled-down than the first, but my disintegrating Nokia 6280, with its expanded battery and barely connected back again cover would not let me to wait.

Unfortunately, it appears that the pink Blackberry has not landed in Hong Kong however (and I never program to join Verizon just for it) and they only had it in grey or black- boring. For a second, I deemed acquiring the grey a single. But unfamiliar to the entire Blackberry craze in the US and clueless about cellphone functions over and above producing a contact, my mom was disapproving. “Why would you get that? It seems like a phone from 10 a long time in the past.”

It is basically a touch display screen PDA, with wifi and all the small PDA functions like calendar, email, new music, images and so forth all on a extremely prettily created interactive windows system that is very effortless to use. Severely. I am technically challenged and even I figured it out. There is 4GB of internal memory, so you can fit almost everything in. It also has a three.2 pixel built in camera with auto focus, which is brilliant, because even my quite 1st digital camera only had 3.2 pixels. It operates in North The united states, Europe, Australasia and Asia (like Japan and Korea) – just not South The united states. Supposedly it has GPS also, but I have no idea how it performs. I figured considering that I really don’t even have an world wide web prepare for my mobile phone the GPS feature will just go undiscovered. From all this, it appears that the HTC Diamond trumps the iphone, Blackberry and even the Samsung Armani (I briefly considered it given that it was the identical price, but it is a Korean manufacturer cellphone that does not operate in Korea and thus I rejected it. There was also some other items not so great about the specs, though I need to say the scenario it comes with is quite great) cellphone. In fact though, it doesn’t function really like a dream. Following nearly a week of use, here are some points I found improper with it

• Even though the camera is 3.2 pixels, the photos taken indoors have a tendency to be yellowish and not very flattering for any person. Severely. Very yellowish. Outside, it’s not undesirable. But more than all that autofocus thing implies it requires a couple of seconds to in fact take a image. Not exactly snap.
• There are a lot of features, but it takes a while to get from a single place to another. Possibly the touch display is not quite sensitive or it is extremely slow (most likely a bit of the two). It desires much more RAM. In this aspect, the iphone is a lot more rapidly.
• One more factor is that people do not appear to be listening to me extremely effectively these days. I employed to talk to men and women when I’m strolling around all the time and they hear me good. Now I can listen to them properly good but they can not hear me!
• One more significant point and I’m not positive if it is only me, for two days, my phone would all of a sudden just switch off with no trigger and I cannot turn it on! I had to just take the battery out and then flip it on again to get it to work. This is a main concern. But it hasn’t occurred for two days now and I’m hoping that it was only an aberration. I think I’ve absent above my 7 day trial interval, so I cannot trade for a new one particular. And apart from, I’m already out of the country……… fingers crossed!

All round, I wouldn’t genuinely recommend anyone purchasing the HTC Diamond, even however I’m an proprietor. I mean, besides people issues I talked about, it functions great. I haven’t personally tried using out the songs actively playing (due to the fact I have not gotten about to figuring out how to connect it with my computer yet- hectic hectic these days…), but I assume it works very good as well. Nevertheless, as you can inform, they still have a way to go to perfecting this product. Once they do however, the HTC Diamond would be excellent!
