Lancome: L.U.C.I

The other day I walked handed the Lancome counter and caught a glimpse of their new SS08 assortment. Intrigued by the quite shell packaging and vibrant colors, I booked an appointment to check out out the new collection the really next day!
The theme of this SS08 assortment by Gucci Westman is L.U.C.I, Luminescent Colorless Coloration Intelligence (And indeed, I am conscious that Colorless begins with a C and not a U. *shrugs* It’s possible its a french thing?). The concept is to have a collection of colorless shimmery make-up that adjustments color all the time adjusting to various skin tones and the reflections of light. Isn’t going to that concept audio so brilliant???
To commence with, the make-up artist did the complete usual cleansing, moisturizer, toner, pore minimizer (it is this kind of a Lancome thing!) routine with me. Then she launched me to their new make-up primer, La Foundation, which she utilized to my deal with/nose (to fill in the pores) and under my EYES! Apparently, this is a particular oil free system that is even suitable as a eye primer! I’m not sure I adhere to the logic of oil cost-free –> appropriate for eye point, but I Love the notion of undereye primer. It is SO bothersome when the skin there is dry/flaky (even my eye cream has been utilized!) and thus seems Awful when you utilize concealer there. This merchandise is genius. And it may be my imagination or the foundation, but I felt that my pores did search smaller. After all that foundation, basis and concealer, she finished off the deal with with the Photonic Illuminating Powder, which is just loose powder with the sparkly light reflection things that is suppose to aid highlight and sculpt your features. I actually did not feel the variation.
Heading on we had the eye make-up, in which I daresay is wherever the whole luminescent factor should be at it’s greatest. 1 of my favorite items out of the entire assortment is the Illuminator, which is essentially cream eye shadows. that goes on apparent but displays colour when light hits it. How absolutely great is that??? I Love it. I acquired the “ray of pink light” shade. You can also use it as a foundation prior to you utilize powder, but personally I feel the powder would just mask the effect. If you get the a lot more neutral apricot shade, you can also use it to highlight your features. Following all, it DOES say it is an illuminator for the eyes and deal with.

The other eye make-up item is the eye shadow palette in the pretty white shell formed box, the L.U.C.I EYES light colour in motion duo eye shadows. I was genuinely excited about it. I adore eye shadow palettes and the colors looked so vibrant! The white shade that arrives with the shade is not simply a normal highlighting shade, but it is a photonic eye shadow that modifications coloration when light hits it. You can use it for highlighting or blend it with the color to develop a third shade! The woman did a blend of ray of green and ray of purple (which is actually quite blue) for me and permit me say, the colors go on Extremely sharply. Unfortunately for me what looked soo pretty in the palette did not go so nicely with me…. it was so overdramatic that it bordered on tacky on me. It’s possible I am just unused to it? I suggest, vibrant colours looked SO nicely on the types! Or could it be that Asian complexion doesn’t go nicely with greens/blues? Nicely, in the end, as considerably as I Enjoy eye shadow palettes, I had to pass on these ones. And a great point too. I met up with three of my pals after and they had been all totally horrified to see me as these!
To comprehensive my eyes, she used the Courbe Virtuose mascara on me (soon after the mascara booster of program). This a single is suppose to make the lash curve and give divine duration, but to me it just felt like any previous Lancome mascara for me…. like Hypnose. Specifically because they arrived out with THE perfect ice pale pink color (Pink Flora) that I’ve been dreaming about. I adore it. It applies quite easily as well. They also have a assortment of photonic Colour Fever Gloss (appropriate). They have this good sheer shade that offers the ideal shine by alone and in excess of lipstick. But one particular should be mindful with these lip colours though. They have these two shades that are totally white that are loaded with photonic stuff that when you set it on your lips, it gets a frightening glowing alien colour- not great.

More than all, I like the notion of the luminescent factor and subtly it works. But I reserve judgment on the super vibrant shades and the photonic overloaded lip things- thats just a small too a lot for me!
