London S/S 09: Luella
I am the first to admit, London vogue 7 days is too vogue ahead most of the time for me to understand. Luella is the exception. Mainly simply because she is quirky in a preppy way, which I can enjoy. Her runway presents me ideas on how I can twist and tweak the preppy pieces I already very own to become more quirky and “new”. This period, she won’t disappoint.
I definitely detest orange. But somehow Luella tends to make it function by clashing it with scorching pink and a vibrant blue on the runway. The outfits in fact search adorable and girly, as an alternative of pumpkin-esque! Hmm…possibly I will get one thing orange subsequent time. I currently have a pair of black plastic rimmed glasses!
The other innovation on the runway was the asymmetrical tiered skirt. I am not quite certain how I feel about that but, I’ve always been a fan of symmetry. But it is certainly quirky and various, it could even be adorable and exciting (there is an even a lot more asymmetrical skirt than the one shown here on the runway- this is the much less adventurous version). And of study course, there was the normal Luella floral prints all above the runway- I really like how she by some means makes it seem edgy rather of previous fashioned.
An additional issue I enjoy about the Luella display is how she combine and matches prints. That gentle pink floral best absolutely performs with the daring pink stripe pants! And that lavender floral dress is just adorable. In simple fact, the poofy skirt and the tulles even provides it a prom-like good quality (not that you would not search entirely darling and perfect donning this to a far more advanced event!). Anyone need an up to date prom dress?
