New York S/S09: Project Runway

Is it just me, or did Challenge Runway choose up a bit this period? It was variety of intriguing to see what variety of insane, wild creations this set of designers place onto the runway (constant perfection is so *yawn*). But anyway, this submit is not a assessment of the styles on the runway (effectively possibly a small bit), but a lot more of a rant on the way the show is ran.

One of the primary objectives of this show (apart from the Saturn, the cash and the publicity) is getting to display at Bryant Park. How many periods have we heard the designers on the present say that they WILL make it to Bryant Park? Only the top three is meant to make it there. But because the present commenced late this season (for whichever reasons), 6 designers made it to Bryant Park as a decoy so the viewers won’t know who made it to the ultimate three in the show. Personally I come to feel like this type of undermines the demonstrate. What is the position of elimination and survival of the fittest when 6 rather of 3 designers get to reveal a single of the most coveted prizes? What is the position of a “constrained edition” bag if everybody on the streets very own one particular as well?
Again to the present, I feel it is obvious who is in the top two. Korto and Leanne have been consistently very good.
