A Weekend in NYC
Having wished to go to NYC for the longest time (I haven’t been considering that I was four several years ago!), I finally went this weekend. And let me say, it is a lot more awesome than I bear in mind! Apart from the typical Times Sq., Saks Fifth and Madison, I also managed to go to Barneys, Carnegie Deli’s, Korean city, W Lodge and a couple of other more intriguing places….
Intriguing place no. 1, the New York Palace resort where Serena lives and Chuck owns in Gossip Lady. When we had been arranging it, we imagined tons of gossip woman-esque images- which we realized in the conclude. The place is as luxe as it seems, other than for one point- it has far more traffic than a single would envision from the present. But oh properly, it IS a lodge. Oh and behold the photo above of the courtyard- it is not the official xmas decorations for the resort but for filming purposes only- expect to see this scene on GG. 
Up coming place I visited was Soho. 1st my friend took me to Le Pain Quotidien, a Belgium chain cafe (also available in the higher east aspect, among other areas) which served the most delightful Belgium waffle I’ve tasted this aspect of the Atlantic. If you have a sweet tooth- you must try out this spot!
Then, I eventually acquired to check out the Prada store in Soho. It is like the vogue mecca that I forgot to pay a visit to final time I was there. Interestingly, outdoors, it completely blends with the rest of Soho and will not search like a Prada store at all. We practically missed it, if we failed to have the tackle (that is One very good issue about blackberries)! And I find it fascinating how this kind of tiny entrances can clos this kind of large spaces in NYC, due to the fact inside it was Massive. And the stairs down…. it was just incredible. Definitely a fashionista’s cease when in NYC.
Yet another highlight for me on this journey was the simple fact that it was SAMPLE SALE Season in NYC. So I visited 1 random sample sale in Soho on Greene St (one particular of the good reasons I went to Soho actually), exactly where I Eventually identified wide legged jeans which I liked! They are from Abundant & Skinny and they have been only $ seventy five! Score! 
I also went to the Helmut Lang and Rags and Bones sample sale on 32nd St. I was in heaven. Apart from the already less expensive charges, there was an added twenty five% off everything. In the finish, I received a classic white gown shirt and black dress pants from Helmut Lang for $ 160 in whole. I DO need to have much more business office clothing following all. And the materials and slicing for these two is remarkable- clean and not wrinkly at all (which is SO crucial for office use). My white gown shirt is actually a bit distinct from the one particular over. It has a a bit asymmetrical slicing, which can make it exciting and at the identical time delicate adequate for job interview reasons. So I imagined that was fairly good for HL. There had been a lot more things also, like HL jeans and this Rag & Bones dress shirt that I liked…. I had to restrain myself!
I cannot wait to go back again to NYC! I even now have not covered the Satisfied, Magnolia Bakery, Serenpidity…….
