Oh, Kate
Has anyone watched Stylista? I watched the Pilot and all I could see was Tyra Financial institutions generating Elle Vogue News Director, Anne Slowey, show up to be an precise duplicate of Miranda Priestly of The Devil Wears Prada. Illustration: Anne Slowey enters the company by throwing her coat on the receptionists desk…really? It was so utterly unrealistic that all I could do was sigh and skip chunks throughout the episode to see what the point of the demonstrate was. They phone it “Stylista” besides it’s significantly less about type and far more about editing and viewing if people can figure how to do a nice layout on a web page…making use of scissors and glue. Tedious and just terrifyingly superficial.
BUT! The great Kate Lanphear was their first guest judge, and I discover Lanphear simply beautiful. Typically makeup-much less (other than on the show) her design speaks for alone: powerful, classy and a chance taker. She pulls off androgyny very well. Lanphear was the only redeeming factor, even if all she mentioned was at most two sentences.

Her outfit in that initial photograph is just incredible! These gorgeous photographs are from Jak & Jill.
